Welcome to SAC’s web site.  SAC was first sanctioned with the AMA in 1963, some of those original founding fathers are still with us and actively flying.  Our membership has members as young as 11 years old and some as old as…well lets just say we have a lot of members!

The current phase of SAC seems to be “let’s have fun”.  We have many club sponsored events throughout the year and they are fun events that anyone can participate in.  Membership in SAC not required, just an AMA Membership card.

We have a huge Flying Site located in the middle of a Cook County Forest Preserve.  We maintain our own runway and it is very nice.  If you’re interested in learning how to fly or just want to meet some nice people come on out and say Hi.
